God Is Still Building His Church: Tertullian and the Defence of the Faith
Jesus promised that He would build His church, and history proves that promise true. In this sermon, Jochen Theiss traces how God raised up the early church father Tertullian to defend the faith against both fierce Roman persecution and the dangerous heresy of Marcionism. From the blood of martyrs like Perpetua and Felicitas to the painstaking theological labours of the post-apostolic fathers, we see that no enemy — whether emperor or false teacher — can frustrate Christ's purpose. God is still building His church today.
