Our History
Our church began in 2003 as a church plant from Grace Fellowship Pretoria. The founding pastor was Tony McCracken a graduate from TMS (The Masters Seminary) in California USA, where John MacArthur was a founding member. We do expositional preaching and follow the grammatical-historical-literary interpretation to ensure we remain faithful to the word of God. In 2016 Leon Pretorius took over from Tony McCracken as Pastor of GFS. We have our own Elders, as listed below.

Our Elders
Leon Pretorius
Leon Pretorius has served as pastor-teacher of Grace Fellowship since 2016, shepherding the congregation through the verse-by-verse teaching of Scripture. He holds a Bachelor of Theology (Cum Laude) from Christ Baptist Church Seminary and a Bachelor of Theology Honours from the South African Theological Seminary, and has trained in biblical counseling with CCEF. His aim in all of it is simple — to help people meet God in His Word. Leon is married to Marzelle, and they have three boys: Elon, Elliot and Ezra.
Jochen Theiss
Jochen Theiss has been part of Grace Fellowship since 2012 and has served as an elder since 2016. Alongside a full-time career as an engineer, he is training for pastoral ministry at Shepherds’ Seminary Africa — now in the third year of its demanding four-year programme, which grounds men in the biblical languages, exposition, theology, and biblical counselling so they can teach the Word accurately and shepherd faithfully. Jochen is married to Annemarie, and they have two children, Monika and Stefan.
