Helps to pray with conviction

Four critical reasons that you can pray with complete conviction of faith
I want you to consider them with me:

1. His unchangeable plans include your prayers

  • Matt. 6:11, 32
  • Matt. 6:10
  • Eze. 36:37
    • Christ & His promised inheritance – Ps. 2:7-9
    • Daniel & the return from exile – Dan. 9:1-3
    • Job & his friends – Job 42:8,10
    • Abraham & the destruction of Sodom – Gen. 18:16-33
    • Moses & the destruction of Israel – Exo. 32:9-14

2. His secret will is none of your business

  • Duet. 29:29
    • Definition of faith: Heb. 12:1
→ Picture of faith: Rom. 4:18-22
Faith is the conviction that God will do what He said, which means you can’t act faith on what you don’t know.
Don’t worry about the secret things because they belong to the Lord
      • Don’t worry if someone is elect or not – Worry about the revealed will of God and pray accordingly
      • Don’t worry about God’s secret will in the trials of life – Worry about the revealed will of God and make your petitions accordingly

3. His promises are guaranteed

  • Heb. 6:17-20
  • 2 Cor. 1:20a
    • Num. 23:19
    • Tit. 1:2

4. He promises to answer

  • Matt. 21:22
  • John 14:13-14, 15:7,16
  • Luke 11:1-13, 18:1-8
  • Heb. 11:6
